Enjoy handcrafted sweets such as freshly baked cacao madeleines with warm praline sauce, paired with vibrant seasonal savories featuring strawberry and cacao. A new premium option also debuts — the “Strawberry Parfait,” beautifully completed at your table with a generous drizzle of chocolate sauce.

HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO presents "SAKURA Afternoon Tea," themed around the "Yaebeni-shidare" weeping cherry trees in our courtyard.
Delicate pink sweets evoke falling petals, while savories are inspired by a traditional Hanami bento, delighting both the palate and the eye. For an elevated experience, our "Premium Option" features the "SAKURA Pavlova" by Pastry Chef Itagaki, paired with three original mocktails.

From Wednesday 29 April to 30 June 2026, HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO presents its Early Summer Afternoon Tea for a limited season, to be enjoyed while gazing out over the courtyard, where vivid green maples shimmer in the fresh light of early summer. Delicate sweets, crafted with seasonal melon and matcha, offer a refreshing harmony of flavours and shades of green, complemented by savouries inspired by the colours and lightness of the season.

Our martini style cocktail combined a Kyoto distilled dry gin rich in Japanese botanicals with an aged sake. This delicious concoction is presented in large glass that resembles a sakazuki sake cup and served with a garnish of seasona herbs.
