Breakfast is served at our Italian restaurant FORNI, which overlooks the courtyard garden. Choose from a breakfast buffet featuring the chef's specialities and main dishes delivered hot from the kitchen, a Japanese breakfast with typical Kyoto items served in an elegant oju box, or a vegan breakfast with special attention paid to natural and organic ingredients prepared with care and love. Enjoy an elegant morning full of seasonal beauty.

American Breakfast Buffet

Enjoy the luxury of a freshly prepared main course and a wide selection of buffet dishes. Choose from signature dishes such as Eggs Benedict or French Toast, and have your main course delivered from the kitchen to your table. Your choice of fruit, smoothies, hot and cold dishes, as well as homemade bakery items baked at the hotel every morning.

Japanese Breakfast

The delicacies of Kyoto are served in traditionally crafted oju stacking boxes. You can choose from three types of grilled fish, including saikyo-yaki and yuan-yaki, and your choice of rice made from Koshihikari rice produced in Kyoto or okayu rice porridge. Enjoy a variety of traditional Kyoto flavours, including carefully prepared kobachi (small bowls of cooked food) and dashimaki (dashi stock rolled omelette).

Vegan Breakfast

Supervised by Chef Fumio Yonezawa, a leading expert in vegan sustainable cuisine, our vegan breakfast menu is prepared in a heart-healthy and body-friendly way. The line-up is both tasty and satisfying, including chickpea focaccia, vegan sausages made from soy and soy milk scramble. Perfect for a healthy start to the day.

Eggs Benedict Gratin with Yuzu and Miso Flavored Hollandaise Sauce

Served as part of our American breakfast buffet, Egg Benedict au Gratin is something of a new delicacy. The poached egg is made with eggs from Nakamura Farm, and the dish is completed with a Kyoto-style hollandaise sauce that combines the aroma of saikyo miso and the fresh scent of yuzu citrus.
