Enjoy a rare, one-day-only experience curated by HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO—designed to immerse you in the cultural and natural beauty of Arashiyama in Kyoto. Begin with a special guided visit to Daikaku-ji, the former imperial villa with over 1,200 years of history, including access to normally restricted areas.
Then ride through the scenic streets of Arashiyama by rickshaw before boarding a private chartered car on the Sagano Romantic Train, where you will glide through the twilight beauty of Hozugawa Gorge.
Time: 3pm - 6:30pm
Number of Participants: One group for the day, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tour Itinerary:
15:00 – Meet at Daikaku-ji
Private guided tour by a monk, including access to normally restricted areas16:10 – Rickshaw Ride
Travel through the scenic bamboo grove and other Sagano highlights en route to the train17:10 – Sagano Romantic Train
Round-trip ride in a privately chartered car between Torokko Saga and Torokko Kameoka Stations18:12 – Tour ends at Torokko Saga Station
This tour begins with a local meeting point, allowing you to explore nearby Arashiyama landmarks such as Togetsukyo Bridge and the World Heritage Site Tenryu-ji Temple at your leisure beforehand.
