HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO is collaborating with A BUZZ FROM THE BEES, a brand of completely additive-free raw honey collected only in a very limited area in Western Australia. Our new afternoon tea will be served with this rare natural honey that boasts rich nutrients and high antimicrobial activity.

Three types of honey, including Jarrah Honey, which is collected from flowers that bloom only once every two years, will be available. You can enjoy these three honeys on the table as they are, or you can add them as toppings to sweets and savouries that have been created to compliment the honey and enjoy a completely new taste sensation.

The menu includes fruit tarts, chocolates, moist baked madeleines, macaroons, as well as pizzas, mousses, open sandwiches, and other items baked fresh on site.

We hope you will enjoy exploring the unique characteristics of each honey and how each one combines with the Afternoon Tea items. In addition, all afternoon tea patrons will receive a gift (one per person) of TA35 Jarrah Honey, which has very high levels of antibacterial activity. You can enjoy this miraculous and delicious product of nature at home.
