HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO will celebrate its first anniversary on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, by offering a special accommodation plan for a limited period only and a special one-day-only menu at our restaurants.
The accommodation plan will include a special tea ceremony experience at our CHAKYO Tea Arbour to coincide with the kuchikiri tea ceremony, a celebration to mark the opening of the jars containing this year’s tea harvest. The plan will cover stays between Friday 15 October 2021 and Tuesday 30 November 2021.
To celebrate this milestone, for one day only Gastronomy Teppan TOKI will serve a special dinner in collaboration with Taittinger, and our Italian restaurant FORNI will serve a full course of seasonal desserts, each with its own tale to tell, in the style of kaiseki cuisine. Each dessert course will be paired with a tea mocktail made with the flavours of various teas from Ryūōen, a well-established purveyor of fine teas in Kyoto.
On 3 November, a live concert will be held in the Lounge, featuring the Kyoto-based cello and guitar duo Pájaro Rojo.
