UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nijo Castle is located directly in front of HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO. This private guided tour includes access to the normally inaccessible Yon-no-Ma Room.

A tour inside the Phoenix Hall of UNESCO World Heritage Site Byodo-in – a special experience prepared exclusively for guests staying at HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO. The tour also includes a visit to the Byorin-an Shoin sub-temple, which is normally inaccessible to the visiting public.

This is an exclusive early morning experience at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, the head shrine of all the Tenjin Shrines across Japan, of which 12,000 are said to exist.From the Momiji-en, enjoy a magnificent view of the main shrine, a national treasure, as well as approximately 350 maple trees. In the clear early morning air of late autumn, guests can enjoy a private viewing of UNESCO World Heritage Site Ninna-ji Temple, the head temple of the Omuro school of the Shingon sect of Buddhism. You can enjoy the autumn leaves in precincts free of visitors, see the five-storey pagoda and the Sutra Repository, which are normally inaccessible, and listen to a Dharma talk delivered by the abbot in the Kondo Hall.

A private early morning visit to Sennyu-ji Temple, the head temple of the Sennyu-ji School of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, which is also known for its autumn foliage. After a monk-guided tour of the Kannon Hall, the Shariden Hall and the Reimyo-den Hall, visitors can experience a Dharma talk in the main temple hall. Original Sennyu-ji incense and a certificate of your visit are included.

An early morning visit to Bishamondo Monzeki, a temple of the Tendai sect dedicated to Bishamonten, which is one of the most popular spots in Kyoto in the autumn season. Enjoy a guided tour of the temple by a Buddhist monk, a Dharma talk, and a visit to the Bansuien Garden, followed by a tea ceremony.
